► The Domaine de l'Orangerie de Lanniron was the former summer residence of the bishops of Quimper from the 12th century until the French Revolution.

► The Italian-inspired gardens, created in the 17th century, offer a breathtaking view of the Odet. In the 19th century, the castle was transformed in the style of Palladian villas. A botanical park was also created at this time, consisting of magnificent species from all over the world: American sequoias, Louisiana bald cypress, Judas trees, rhododendron, Hymalaya palm, ...

FAUCONRY SHOW: "The FAUCONRY TOURNAMENT 

 

Every Sunday in July and August, the estate organises a falconry show. In the heart of the gardens of Lanniron, facing the Odet, go back in time and follow the story of "The Tournament of the Falconers". A 25-minute production directed and narrated by Roy's Passionpresenting : Jean I de Sérent, the King of France's bird keeper, Martin, his valet and Jean de Pisseleu, as well as majestic birds of prey in free flight! This show combines historical facts and biological education on birds of prey. A fabulous journey to the heart of the Middle Ages awaits you!

A day of performances and entertainment will punctuate these summer Sundays:

➢ Morning:

From 10 am onwards, workshops led by "Passion de Roy" will begin (places are limited):

  •        Escape Game
  •        Educational walk with birds (morning only)
  •        Introduction to medieval fencing

➢ Afternoon:

  •       2 shows per Sunday (times may vary depending on the weather): 4pm and 7pm (more than 30 minutes of show) Escape Game

Practical information :

Every Sunday in July and August 2021 from 10am to 8pm, catering and picnic area on the estate. The entrance ticket is 12€ per person (11€ online), free for children under 4 years old. The ticket also includes access to the Park & Gardens and leisure activities: Trampôforest, mini-farm, treasure hunt, orienteering race, inflatable games, playground... 7€ extra to register for the workshops (reservation only online for the workshops).
