Follow the Painters' Route in Cornwall and discover an endless variety of landscapes that have inspired painters.

Day 1 - Quimper

Arrival in Quimper at the end of the day. Installation in your 3* hotel located on the periphery. Welcome drink. Dinner.

Jour 2 – Concarneau / Quimper (70 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for a day of guiding.

Route to ConcarneauVisit the famous walled city and its port. Concarneau has attracted many painters from different backgrounds who formed the "Concarneau group".

Lunch in a traditional restaurant.

Discover Quimper, City of Art and History, et laissez-vous charmer par le cœur historique et ses maisons à pans de bois, la cathédrale gothique Saint-Corentin, les remparts, les passerelles fleuries le long de l’Odet.

Dinner at the hotel.

Jour 3 – Pont-Aven / Le Pouldu (120 km)

Breakfast. Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for a day of guiding.

Road to Clohars-Carnoët for a visite du centre d’interprétation “Gauguin, l’atelier du Pouldu”, qui vous invite à entreprendre un voyage artistique à la fin du 19ème siècle dans le regard des peintres. Lors de leurs séjours au Pouldu, ils ont bouleversé l’histoire de l’art en contribuant à la naissance du synthétisme. Au fil du parcours, partez à la rencontre d’un territoire et de ses habitants à travers une vision nouvelle, incarnée par Gauguin et ses compagnons artistes.

Puis route vers Pont-Aven. Discovering the city of painters and mills The port, the mills, the Gloanec pension, the Trémalo chapel where the carved wooden Christ owes its fame to the painting by Gauguin "the yellow Christ"...

Lunch in a traditional restaurant.

Early afternoon, continuation of the visit under the guidance of your guide. The Pont-Aven Museum unveils its new, completely renovated space. You will discover the work of artists inspired by Brittany and more particularly by Pont-Aven, from the 1860s to the 1970s.

Return to Quimper. Dinner at the hotel.

Jour 4 – Locronan / Châteauneuf du Faou (120 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel for a day of guiding.

Passage through Douarnenez qui fut en Basse Bretagne le premier port à s’affirmer comme place artistique. Puis direction Locronan and découverte de la charmante Small City of Character.

Lunch in a crêperie.

Continuation vers Châteauneuf-du-Faou pour découvrir le musée Sérusier, consacré au couple d’artistes Marguerite et Paul Sérusier. La ville, où le couple avait élu domicile, conserve un riche patrimoine artistique, historique et naturel exceptionnel, encore fortement lié à l’œuvre de ces artistes. À travers sa collection De plus de deux cents œuvres et ses expositions temporaires, il permettra de mieux faire connaître ces figures majeures de l’art au tournant du XXe siècle.

Return to Quimper at the end of the day. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 - Quimper
