The Alexis Le Gall Cannery Museum is both a museum of society and a collector of memories, dedicated to the history of female workers as well as to the history of the great families who owned the canneries in Southern Brittany. It sees itself as a potential agitator of identities, while aiming to preserve this heritage, which was classified as a Historic Monument in 2016.

The Alexis Le Gall cannery is the last witness of an extraordinary Breton history: the adventure of canned fish! This industry was born in the 19th century and is still very much alive in the Pays Bigouden. This place will tell you about this industrial and human epic, to the rhythm of the arrival of the fish and the bell of the factory! This new cultural establishment in the Pays Bigouden is one of three of its kind in Europe.
